Day Off at the Museum - Ooey Gooey Science

Ages: Youth currently enrolled in grades K-5
$75 per camper ($70 for LSNC Enhanced Members and Hands-On Museum Family Plus Premium Members)
 
It's time to get messy as we dive into the slimey side of science. We'll explore the states of matter, chemical reactions, and the scientific method as we create and play with slime and other gooey substances. Every Day Off at the Museum camp includes opportunities to play silly games, make art, and have hands-on experiences with science.
 
This camp will take place at Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, 220 East Ann St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.

Girl Scout Workshop - Senses

There's a great big world out there, full of wonderful things to hear, see, smell, taste, and feel. Come meet LSNC to explore the natural world with all five senses!

Mother's Day Wildflower Hike
Sunday, May 10, 2020 - 10:00am
Ages: All ages (Youth must be accompanied by an adult)
$5 per person, mothers are free!
 
Treat the mothers and mother figures in your life to a guided wildflower hike through Black Pond Woods and the LSNC grounds, or take the hike yourself in their honor! We'll find lovely blooms popping up through the grass or sprouting on the forest floor. Enjoy a short presentation on local wildflowers and then get outside to see what is blooming here at LSNC. During the presentation and hike, participants will learn basic plant identification skills using field guides as well as some of the fascinating folklore surrounding some of these plants. Enjoy a "tea time" of ice-cold lemonade or iced tea and granola bars in the garden before you head home. We encourage participants to make a day of your trip by bringing a picnic lunch!

Parents' Night Out: Night at the Museum
Saturday, May 16, 2020 - 5:30pm to 10:00pm
Ages: Youth currently enrolled in grades K-5
$35 per child ($30 per child for members)
 
It's a night out for grown-ups while the kids enjoy an exciting evening at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. Every Night at the Museum we'll do exciting activities that will explore different science concepts plus we'll spend plenty of time exploring the museum! 
 
Parents’ Night Out includes a Panera sandwich box with PB&J or Turkey as well as a late-night popcorn snack. Families are welcome to send their child with a dinner from home. 
 
This event will take place at Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, 220 E. Ann St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
 
Registration is required by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13th in order to receive a Panera box dinner. If you register after the cut-off date, your child will need to come with a dinner from home. Register for this event online, or call 734-997-1553.
