Day Off Outdoors - Guardians of the Ecosystem

$75 per camper ($70 for LSNC Enhanced Members and Hands-On Museum Family Plus Premium Members)
Discover the superpowers of animals and plants in Michigan, and unleash your own heroic abilities at this exciting one day camp. Learn how animals achieve super speed, invisibility, and night vision, and practice using those powers in your own life. Every Day Off Outdoors camp includes opportunities to play silly games, make art, spend time outside, and meet some of LSNC’s resident animals up close.

Nature Storytime has many opportunities for you and your little one to explore and appreciate the outdoors, such as live animal visits, hikes, stories, and hands-on activities. This week we will explore sounds outside, and make our own sounds. Nature Storytime takes place Wednesday mornings and every other Sunday for one hour. Each session includes indoor and outdoor activities – so make sure to dress for the weather!

Owl Do I Love Thee
Friday, February 14, 2020 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Ages: 18 years and older
$30 per couple ($25 per couple for members)
 
Treat your special someone to an evening of romance and fun with our resident owls. Get up close and personal with these magnificent night hunters as you learn about their mating habits and rituals. Then, snuggle up on an outdoor, candle-lit poetry walk. Warm up inside with board games and art projects-or bring your own game to play-while you enjoy tasty desserts and beverages. Nothing says “I love you” like a night out in nature! Please come dressed for the weather.

Cub Scout Program - Fur, Feathers, and Ferns
Saturday, February 15, 2020 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Ages: Cub Scouts working toward the Bear rank
$10 per child

Scouts will take a hike into Furstenberg Nature Area and discover what plants and animals call this place home, while also exploring how cultivated plants thrive in our local gardens. Scouts will get the opportunity to meet and observe one native species up close, and learn about the adaptions it has that allow it to survive and thrive. 

This event will take place at Gallup Park, 3000 Fuller Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. We will access Fursternberg Nature Area through Gallup Park.

Parents' Night Out: Night at the Museum
Friday, February 21, 2020 - 5:30pm to 10:00pm
Ages: Youth currently enrolled in grades K-5
$35 per child ($30 per child for members)
It's a night out for grown-ups while the kids enjoy an exciting evening at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. Every Night at the Museum we'll do exciting activities that will explore different science concepts plus we'll spend plenty of time exploring the museum! 
 
Parents’ Night Out includes a Panera sandwich box with PB&J or Turkey as well as a late-night popcorn snack. Families are welcome to send their child with a dinner from home. 
 
This event will take place at Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, 220 E. Ann St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
 
Registration is required by 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 20th in order to receive a Panera box dinner. If you register after the cut-off date, your child will need to come with a dinner from home. Register for this event online, or call 734-997-1553.
