Owl Prowl: Families
Saturday, November 17, 2018 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Ages: Youth 5-12 years, and their families
$9 per person, or $34 per family ($8 per member, or $30 per member family)

Join us for an enchanting evening with owls. Night hikes, owl calling, and visits with live owls will fill the evening with wonder as we discover how ears, eyes, and feathers help owls survive the night. This program is appropriate for age 5 and older. A similar event for adults only is offered on November 16th.

Nature Storytime - Super Senses: Touch!

Nature Storytime takes place Wednesday mornings and every other Sunday for one hour. Each session includes indoor and outdoor activities – so make sure to dress for the weather!

Fireside Fun- A Good Old-Fashioned Campfire Circle
Sunday, November 18, 2018 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Ages: All ages
Free

There's nothing quite as relaxing as sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and swapping stories. One Sunday a month, we'll be stoking the fires here at LSNC. March-November, we'll provide a blazing outdoor campfire and plenty of marshmallows. Bring your family, friends, camp chairs, outdoor games, and s'mores fixings. December-February, we'll have an indoor fire with hot cocoa and tea. Bring a blanket to sit on, board games to play (we'll have some too), and sledding gear if there is snow. Outdoor fires are held rain or shine (except for thunder and lightening), so come dressed for the weather.

Day Off Outdoors: Thankful for Nature

Ages: Youth currently enrolled in grades K-5
$70 per child ($65 per child for members)

Explore all of the incredible ways the natural world provides us with food, shelter, energy, and more! Show your gratitude for nature by learning how to reduce waste, conserve pollinator habitats, and show respect for the amazing planet we call home. Every LSNC camp includes opportunities to play silly games, make art, spend time outside, and meet some of LSNC’s resident animals up-close!

Nature Tykes Preschool Program - Wintertime Woods
Wednesday, December 5, 2018 - 9:45am to Wednesday, December 19, 2018 - 11:15am
Ages: 4-5 year olds
$30 per child ($27 per child for members)

Our Nature Tykes Preschool Program gives your 4-5 year old the opportunity to learn and grow independently in this 1.5 hour drop-off program. It is a great supplement to, or step towards, a full-day preschool program. Registration is by the month, and each session is designed to encourage your little one to ask questions, explore the outdoors, and develop important classroom skills as we hike in Black Pond Woods, meet live animals, make crafts, and run hands-on experiments. This month we will explore what goes on in the woods during winter. Activities are indoors and outdoors – so make sure to dress for the weather!

This month's sessions will take place on December 5th, 12th, and 19th.

Critters Up Close at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum

Every month, Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum visitors get up close and personal with some of our favorite critters from the natural world.   Join us for hands-on activities and a meet and greet with critters from 10-4:00 pm on Saturday (with a mid-day “Animal Naptime”) and 1-4:00 pm on Sunday.  This month This month the featured critters are hawks and falcons, and they are ready for their close up!
