The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and Leslie Science & Nature Center, together with much of the State, shuttered its operations last March due to COVID-19. Since that time, many businesses and industries have been given permission to open to the public within new, strict safety guidelines. This has been difficult for us due to both the hands-on and the social nature of our programs which make keeping appropriate social distancing nearly impossible.

We have started to experiment with offering some programming to very limited numbers of visitors, but we are far from being just generally open. Therefore, it is problematic to give passes for schools to raise money – with a product that the purchaser may or may not be able to use. Unfortunately, we do not have a firm date for our re-open and do not wish to provide these until we can stay open, likely mid to late 2021.

For now, we have decided to suspend our program of offering passes for fundraisers. We hope we will be able to get back to more regular operations before too long. Thanks for your understanding.
