At Yankee Air Museum you can explore some of the most amazing aircraft in aviation history. Located on the grounds of the Willow Run Airport, Yankee Air Museum brings the history of American aviation and aerospace technology to life! Explore the rich gallery exhibits featuring restored historic aircraft and  try out flight simulations, history presentations, and the annual Thunder Over Michigan airshow. You can visit Yankee Air Museum Tue-Sat 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or Sun 11:00 – 4:00 PM.

Unity in Learning also has camps at Leslie Science & Nature Center in Ann Arbor.

Bus transportation from LSNC to YAM
(Offered every week)


The optional bus transportation add-on for Yankee camp sessions allows families to drop-off and pick-up their camper each day at our Leslie Science & Nature Center site in Ann Arbor. This means no driving from Ann Arbor to Belleville during rush hour traffic! PLUS, the bus transportation add-on includes Camp Cool Down at Leslie, extending your camper’s care until 5:30pm. For just $45 a week, it’s a great deal for families in Ann Arbor and west looking to make Yankee Camp more accessible. Families may also drop-off (8:30am) and pick-up (3:30pm) directly at Yankee Air Museum.

Camp Session Limit

Campers are allowed to register for up to three summer camp weeks at each site (LSNC and YAM), for a total of up to six weeks at Unity in Learning camps.

Camp Cancellation Policy

All camp registrations will require a non-refundable deposit paid upon registration. Any cancellation made up to 14 days prior to the start date of a camp program will receive a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit. Any cancellation made within 14 days of the start date of a camp program will not be eligable to for a refund.

All cancellation requests must be submitted through your CampDoc registration portal or in writing. Refunds will be issued through the CampDoc system and may take up to 4 weeks for processing.

If a participant fails to attend a registered session without notice, no refund will be issued.  In cases of homesickness, dismissal or voluntary withdrawal, there will be no refund of any fees.

We reserve the right to grant exceptions in situations as needed. 

If you choose to switch your registration to a different date, please note that this is only possible if openings exist. This must occur 15 days prior to the first day of your event. There will be a $10 processing fee charged for each switched registration.

Please note that this policy differs from the cancellation policy used for other programs. If you are cancelling a program that is not camp please refer to our standard cancellation policy
