Harrison Smith

Harrison Smith grew up in the town of Fayetteville, nestled in the Ozark mountains of Northwest Arkansas. As a child growing up in the "Natural State," he quickly fell in love with the outdoors, spending his summers peeking under rocks for insects, hiking nature trails, and swimming in one of the many swimming holes in nearby creeks and rivers. After completing his Bachelor's in Biology at the University of Arkansas, he moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where he will pursue a Master's degree in Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan. Harrison is thrilled to be joining the LSNC staff, and looks forward to learning and exploring nature with campers this summer. When he's not out enjoying the outdoors, you will probably find Harrison playing old-time songs on his banjo, cooking up a tasty meal, or playing board games with friends and family.
