Adopt-A-Critter
Leslie Science & Nature Center's animal adoption programs give you an opportunity to provide direct support to the animals in our Critter House. Our education animals are non-releasable and need permanent care. Your adoption ensures that these animals continue to inspire and educate our visitors.
Your adoption gifts are put to work immediately
- Feeding and caring for our animals
- Providing medical treatment when needed
- Conducting training of animals and our staff
- Defraying costs for schools that cannot afford our educational programs otherwise
- Inspiring our visitors and community through educational programs
We have four adoption levels. The first three are as follows:
- Gold: $220 - Two year adoption
- Silver: $120 - One year adoption
- Bronze: $50 - One year adoption - reserved for schools and youth groups
With your Gold, Silver, or Bronze adoption, you receive by mail:
- A certificate recognizing your adoption
- A color photograph of the critter you adopted
- A fact sheet about the species
- Your name posted in the Critter House
- A thank you letter that explains the significance of your gift
When you adopt a critter at the levels above as a gift, they will receive the adoption packet, and you will receive our warmest thanks and a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
