Scholarship Programs

Are you a teacher? Read more here about how to apply for Adopt-a-Class Scholarship funding.

The environmental education programs provided by Leslie Science & Nature Center have a tremendous impact on the children with whom we work and play. Children learn important scientific principles in ecology and biology through exploration, experiments, investigation, interactive games, and open discovery. At the same time, children develop a love of and comfort with the great outdoors.

Many schools in southeast Michigan have limited resources, and their students may not be able to take part in our programs without the generosity of people like you! All of our programs supplement and enrich the science curriculum while covering environmental education concepts that are critical to understand in today's world. Through our Adopt-A-Class scholarship program, your donation will enable children to take part in LSNC's science and environmental education field trips and classroom outreach.

Bring students to our place: your donation allows a group of students to enjoy an environmental education field trip program, including a guided woods hike and a visit to the LSNC Critter House or Raptors. Kids who spend time outside in natural areas are healthier, think more clearly, and have better concentration in school - you can make this happen.
