Preschool Reverse Field Trips

Let Leslie Science & Nature Center engage your preschooler's young, curious, and growing minds with our Preschool on the Road programs featuring our amazing animals. Each program features creative play, a hands-on activity, a close look at one of our live animals, and a favorite children's book.

What you need to know:

  • Duration: 45 minutes.
  • Size: No more than 20 students.
  • Note: We may request help from the teacher for some of the hands-on activities.
  • Cost: Based upon the distance from Ann Arbor and number of programs. Please note: To receive the discounted pricing for multiple programs, all programs must be completed on the same day.

Ssslithering Snakes
A visit from our friendly corn snake or ball python will entrall and amaze your preschoolers as we stretch and slither our way through your classroom.

Brrr, It's Winter
Snuggle up to a good story and a visit from a one of our animals as we discover how animals survive the cold, cold winter.

Fall into Fall
With the cooling weather and changing leaves, animals are preparing for winter. Discover the joys of autumn as we fall into fall.

Terrific Turtles
Whether swimming in the water, crawling across the land, or hiding in their shells, turtles are amazing creatures with awesome adaptations. Get a closer look at our scaly box turtle and create a turtle craft to take home.

Furry Friends
Four legged, furry and full of fun, enjoy a visit from one of our Critter House mammals.

Silent Feathered Friends
Young students let their imaginations take flight as we spin an owl tale. After the story, students enjoy hands-on experiences with our specimens and meet a native Michigan owl.
