For Large Groups (up to 300)

Looking for interactive programs for large groups of people?

We offer fun, educational, hands-on programs that are perfect for a daytime, afterschool, or evening event for large groups.

What you need to know:

• Ages: Appropriate for all ages, but primarily designed for kindergarten through fifth grades. 
• Requires: 10-20 volunteers.
• Duration: 1.5 hours
• Max Group Size: 150 students for day program and 300 participants for family event
• Location: program requires two large spaces (e.g. gym and cafeteria).
• School needs to provide: 11 tables  and 10-20 volunteers
• LSNC is able to customize programs to meet your curriculum or grade level needs
• Cost: $600, plus $300 for additional programs the same day.

Discover Nature Day
Through hands-on discovery tables and live animal presentations, participants will explore plants, animals, decomposers, water, and more. The hands-on activities have been designed for all ages but focus mainly on kindergarten to 5th grade students. The program includes ten hands-on activities such as "Delightful Decomposers," "Incredible Insects," "The Web of Life," "Tremendous Trees," "Warning! Endangered!" and "What on Earth is a Watershed?" This program can also be offered in the evening for students and their families.

Nature In Numbers
Measure, graph and count your way through nature during this fun, exploratory approach to mathematics. Measure how far a seed travels in the wind, estimate the "fish population" using fractions, test the pH of a water sample, and graph arthropods found in a sample.
