Reptiles and amphibians have some incredible tricks to survive in this wild world. Join us for this one-day camp to explore how cold-blooded creatures move, hide from predators, and find their food. Every LSNC camp includes opportunities to play silly games, make art, spend time outside, and meet some of LSNC’s resident animals up-close!

Nature Tykes: Winter Woods
Tuesday, January 10, 2017 - 10:00am to Tuesday, January 31, 2017 - 11:30am
Ages: 4-5 years
$38 per child ($36 for members)

Our Nature Tykes programs are designed with your 4-5 year old in mind. Each 1.5 hour session allows your early learner to have authentic, age-appropriate nature-based experiences. Monthly themes will help guide activities that include live animal presentations, hikes in Black Pond Woods, natural crafts, and hands-on experiments. This drop-off program is designed to encourage participants to feel comfortable asking questions, exploring, and engaging with the natural world. January's theme is Winter Woods.

Program will take place on January 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st from 10-11:30am.

Critters Up Close

Free with museum admission

Now you have more opportunities to see Critters Up Close every month at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum! We bring a selection of live animals to the Museum and AAHOM offers special animal-oriented hands-on activities. Animals will be meeting and greeting visitors from 10-4 on Saturday (with a mid-day “Animal Naptime”) and 1-4 on Sunday.  This month's theme is Mammals!

Outdoor environments are a great way to engage all of your toddler's developing senses, and give kids a bit of exercise, too! Join us select on Wednesdays as we come together for a mix of guided and self-guided outdoor activities that allow 1-3 year olds and their grown-ups to explore, engage with, and experience the outdoors.  Programs take place outdoors rain or shine--please dress for the weather.

Programs will take place outdoors rain or shine—please dress for the weather. This program’s theme is Terrific Trees.

Parents' Night Out: Whooooo's There?

Ages: 6-12 years
$30 per child ($25 per member)

It's a night out for grown-ups while the kids enjoy an exciting evening at LSNC. Meet our nocturnal hunters and explore the ways they fly, hunt, and survive. Explore our grounds after dark and test your own owl-like survival skills. Parents’ Night Out includes pizza and carrots for dinner as well as a late-night popcorn snack. Activities will be outside as much as possible, so please come dressed for the weather!
