Pre-School in the Park

Our three Pre-School in the Park field trip programs highlight the changes within the seasons; Fall, Winter and Spring. Our programs combine engaging hands-on activities, hikes in our woods and prairies, creative play and movement, and a special up close look at our live animals. These programs have been carefully designed for the active and exciting world of the four and five year old. They build on and enrich early science concepts taught in the pre-school classroom, as well as further developing a child's natural sense of wonder.

The cost for our pre-school fieldtrip programs is $4.00/student for pre-schools within Ann Arbor and $5.00/student for pre-schools located outside of Ann Arbor. We have a $40.00 minimum. Chaperones are free.

Registration Information

Our Pre-school programs are fun, informative, and unique. All pre-school programs last one and a half hours. Here is how to sign up:

1. Register for the program. Please call (734) 997 1553 between 8:30 am and 4 pm to register for a program. Alternatively, you can send an e-mail to info@lesliesnc.org with the following information:
   • What date range you are looking for, including preference for days of the week and morning or afternoon.
   • Age and number of students.
   • Name of preschool, name of contact person, preschool address, and school phone number.
   • Whether any students have special needs of which we should be aware.
   • How many adults will be attending.
   • Please note: you are not registered for a program until you receive confirmation from LSC. Sending an e-mail or leaving a phone message with your request does not guarantee a spot.
2. Prior to your trip, please do the following:
   • Be sure you have at least one adult chaperone for every group of 12-15 students.
   • Request that students and adults dress for the weather. We will go outside even if it is raining, so please be prepared. We will be inside if the weather is unsafe.
   • Create nametags for students. This is helpful for our staff.
   • Divide the children into groups of 12-15 students.
   • Please be on time. Unfortunately, we do have to end the program as scheduled even if you arrive late.
