Birthday Parties

Looking for a Birthday Adventure? Bring your party to us!

To create the best party possible, our staff will choose from among many activities to tailor the party for each group, considering age, interests, and the weather. We can accommodate your party group in every kind of weather. All programs last 2 hours; one hour fifteen minutes with LSNC naturalists, and 45 minutes for your own birthday fun. We will assist you in hosting your party, but we require two adults in attendance for all parties.

The charge is: $150.00 $125.00 with resident discount

Fox and Friends

Ages 4-7
Maximum: 13 children

Romp, slink, and play your way through the field and forest in the imaginary world of the fox. Perk up your ears and wiggle your nose on a fox walk exploring the many wonders of nature. Your adventure will lead you to our Critter House for an up-close visit with many of fox's favorite friends.

Teddy Bear Tracking

Ages 4-7
Maximum: 13 children

Eleanor, Teddy and Bob the Bear are best friends and love hanging out together. Hide and seek with their forest friends is one of their favorite activities. Come follow the animal tracks around the Leslie Science Center grounds to find these loveable and adventurous teddy bears. A trip to the Critter Room to see and learn about live animals seals up their fun filled adventure.

Wildlife, Woods, and Water

Ages: 5-13
Maximum: 15 children

Wildlife, woods, and water abound at the Leslie Science Center. Join us for an exciting adventure discovering frogs, insects, birds, and much more! Wander through the woods, poke through the pond, and check out our animals in the Critter House. A natural adventure awaits you.

Predator Play

Ages 7-13
Maximum: 15 children

Can you run 60 miles an hour? Can you see your food over a mile away? Can you hear a mouse under 6 inches of snow? Spend your birthday discovering the variety of ways predators sneak, stalk and snatch up their prey through active games like Quick Frozen Critters, Forest and Thicket, and Bat and Moth. To help us get a well-rounded view of the predator world we'll take a hike and visit our Critter House. Both predators and prey invited!

Letterbox Birthday Quest

Ages 8-13
Maximum: 15 children

With compass in your hand and brains in your head, your group will set off on a quest for the hidden letterbox, a secret cache where we'll discover an amazing reward. Travel through the Black Pond woods deciphering clues and riddles as we embark on this wacky treasure hunt in the wild.

Registration Information

Our Pre-school programs are fun, informative, and unique. All pre-school programs last one and a half hours. Here is how to sign up:

1. Register for the program. Please call (734) 997 1553 between 8:30 am and 4 pm to register for a program. Alternatively, you can send an e-mail to info@lesliesnc.org with the following information:
   • What birthday program you would like to attend.
   • What date range you are looking for, including preference for days of the week or weekend.
   • Age and number of children.
   • Name of the birthday child.
   • Name of contact person, home address, phone number.
   • Whether any children have special needs of which we should be aware.
   • How many adults will be attending.
   • Payment is due at time of registration.
   • Please note: you are not registered for a program until you receive confirmation from LSC. Sending an e-mail or leaving a phone message with your request does not guarantee a spot.
2. Prior to your trip, please do the following:
   • Be sure you have at least two adult chaperones for the group.
   • Request that children and adults dress for the weather. We will go outside even if it is raining, so please be prepared. We will be inside if the weather is unsafe.
   • Please be on time. Unfortunately, we do have to end the program as scheduled even if you arrive late.
   • You may arrive 15 minutes early to decorate the room. Please, no tape on the walls.
