Kids take action in the Huron River
Watershed with help from the Leslie Science and Nature
Center and the Wolf Family Foundation
After conducting water quality tests on the Huron River
in the fall, fifth grade students at Northside
Elementary, King Elementary, and Carpenter Elementary
went to action to implement projects to help keep the
Huron River clean. This year’s projects included short
claymation films educating others on how to protect our
water resources from Northside Elementary, an Earth Day
Festival for younger students held at King Elementary,
and a native plant habitat garden and “Save our River”
t-shirts created at Carpenter Elementary.
Check out what the students from the schools are doing
in our watershed to help keep the Huron River clean.
