Birthday Parties & Special Events

Celebrate your child's birthday with a nature-themed adventure.

Track a teddy bear, slink through the forest, explore the pond, or follow clues to find a secret cache. Fun, exciting birthday adventures your child and guests will never forget! To create the best party possible for your child, our staff will choose from among many activities that complement the selected party theme, and will take the age, the children's interest, and the weather into consideration. We can accommodate your party group in every kind of weather. Please be prepared to go outside. You'll have one hour and fifteen minutes of programs with our staff and 45 minutes for your own birthday fun.

Cost: $150 for a maximum of 15 children*.  Adults are free.
(*Geocache Adventures cost $175 and have a maximum of 12 children.)

Programs

Animal Adventure
Appropriate for ages 4-7. Maximum: 15 children
Search for animals along the trail, visit animals in the Critter House, such as turtles, doves, and rabbits, and learn about where they live, what they eat, and how they survive.

Bug Birthday Bash
Appropriate for all ages. Maximum: 15 children
Go buggy on your birthday! Use nets to search for insects in the prairie and forest, visit insects and their predators in the Critter House,and play insect games. Available May-mid October.

Geocache Adventure
Appropriate for ages 10 and up. Maximum: 12 children
Join the adventure that is sweeping the nation with a geocache birthday party adventure. In this high-tech treasure hunt, you’ll use a GPS unit to find your way to a hidden container.  GPS units provided by LSNC. (**Please note that the Geocache Adventure party costs $175 and is limited to 12 guests.)

Herp, Herp Hooray!
Appropriate for all ages. Maximum: 15 children
Hop, slither and climb as we explore the incredible lives of reptiles and amphibians. Go for a hike to discover herp habits and hideouts. Then get a hands-on visit with live turtles, snakes, frogs and lizards.

Into The Night
Appropriate for ages 7-13. Maximum: 15 children
Celebrate your birthday with a campfire and night hike and you can party into the night!

Letterbox Birthday Quest
Appropriate for ages 8-13 Maximum: 15 children
With a compass in your hand and brains in your head, your group will set off on a wacky treasure hunt in the wild, deciphering clues and unraveling riddles that will lead you to the secret cache box. Your journey can include a visit to the Critter House upon request where you can meet LSNC's turtles, rabbits, and salamanders.

Predator Play
Appropriate for ages 7-13. Maximum: 15 children
Can you run 60 miles an hour? Or see your food more than a mile away? Discover the ways predators sneak, stalk and snatch up their prey through active games and a visit to the Critter House.

Teddy Bear Tracking
Appropriate for ages 4-7. Maximum: 15 children
Eleanor, Teddy, and Bob the Bear are best friends and love hanging out together, playing hide and seek. Follow the tracks and clues to find these loveable and adventurous teddy bears. Then go to the Critter House to meet their friends, such as turtles, rabbits, and frogs.

Wildlife, Woods, and Water
Appropriate for all ages. Maximum: 15 children
Join us for an exciting adventure discovering frogs, insects, birds! Wander through the woods, poke through the pond and check out our animals in the Critter House.

All About Owls
Appropriate for all ages. Maximum: 15 children
Discover the world of owls with a visit from one of our live owls. We will also dissect owl pellets and go on a hike searching for owl habitat.

Feathered Fiesta
Appropriate for all ages. Maximum: 15 children
Learn about amazing birds of prey, and let your imagination soar! You’ll have the chance to meet two birds of prey and go for a bird hike using binoculars.

Are you planning a party for a fan of creatures that swoop, screech, hoot and soar? Sure, we throw great kids' parties, but we know adults have special birthdays, anniversaries, and other important occasions, too. And we know that the love of wild things has no age limit. Our expert handlers can bring one of our amazing birds of prey to your home or location to liven up the celebration. It will make it an event your guests will remember — and one that supports a good cause. 

Rap-terific Birthdays
Appropriate for all ages—including adults.
This birthday, let three of the feathered friends you choose* take you under their wings and fly you into your new year.  With just a smalllish space in your home where friends can flock together, we can provide a program that will rise to your expectations. (*We will do our best to accommodate your choices of birds.  Eagle is not available.)
