Since 1986 the Leslie Science and Nature Center has offered outstanding environmental education programs for kids and their families.  Our programs are designed to excite young minds, to provide a hands-on environment in which to learn scientific concepts and theories, and to ignite a connection to nature that will enrich and sustain children throughout their lives.  We provide programs to more than 36,000 people every year.

We exist only because of the marvelous generosity of the Leslies and our supporters. We can be faithful to the Leslies’ exemplary legacy only with the help of people like you. The children in our region need the magic, the joy and the confidence produced by programs such as ours. We hope you will continue to help us make that happen.

  • Beckman Coulter -- $8,000 for field trip and school bus subsidies. 

  • Mericos Foundation - $25,000 to new outreach programs.

  • James A. and Faith Knight Foundation - $10,000 toward purchasing an outreach vehicle.

  • Ann Arbor Community Foundation Next Generation Philanthropist Fund -$2,000 for field trips.

  • Wild Bird Center - for donating birdseed at cost.

  • Downtown Home & Garden, Mighty Good Coffee, Fresh Seasons Market, Ben & Jerry's on St. State, and California Pizza Kitchen- for their generous Nature Trivia Night donations.

Ali Hassani's Eagle Scout Project                           
Ali's project extended a fence, created gardens, and placed benches around Leslie Science & Nature Center's raptor enclosures. Below is a list of major donors for this wonderful project.
