Cancellation Policy

General Policy

No refunds are given for program registrations unless the program is cancelled by LSNC. Programs will be held rain or shine. In the case of severe or dangerous weather LSNC staff may deem the conditions unsafe and may reschedule or cancel an event or program. On occasion, we also may cancel public programs due to low enrollment. In these circumstances only, refunds or credits may apply.

Cancellation Policy for Camps, Scouts, Birthdays, Public Programs and Events

All cancellations must be in writing via mail or via email to info@lesliesnc.org.

Refunds will be issued by check and may take up to 4 weeks for processing.

If a participant fails to attend a registered session without notice, no refund will be issued.  In cases of homesickness, dismissal or voluntary withdrawal, there will be no refund of any fees.

*We reserve the right to grant exceptions in situations as needed. If a cancellation request is made within 24 hours of registration, you are eligible for a 90% refund, so long as it is one business day from the start of a one day program, or five business days from the start of a five day camp.

If you choose to switch your registration to a different date, please note that this is only possible if openings exist. This must occur 15 days prior to the first day of your event. There will be a $10 processing fee charged for each switched registration.

Cancellation Policy for Outreaches and Field Trips for Schools and Community Groups

Non-weather related cancellations must occur 48 hours in advance, or a $75 processing fee will be charged.  The $75 fee is applied to any cancellation whether it is an entire organization, or one scheduled class from a multi class visit. 

Final payments must be made the day of the program, unless otherwise arranged by LSNC.

Weather Related Cancellations

In the event of dangerous weather, LSNC may determine a program or rental needs to be cancelled. If a cancellation is warranted, LSNC will notify the program leader, rental contact, or program participant of the cancellation no later than 4 hours before the start time of a program, or by 7am on the day of the program or rental, whichever is later. For our camps, we will let you know by 6am.

If a cancellation occurs, you will be notified in the following ways:

For Camps, Preschool (Tykes, Tales, Playgroup), Parents Night Out, Public Programs & Events:

  • Registered participants will receive an email, via the email address used to register for the program.
  • We will post a notice about the program cancellation to our Facebook page.

For Birthday Parties, Scouts, Field-trips, Outreach Programs, and Rentals:

  • The program leader, teacher, or rental contact will receive a phone call from one of our staff. If the program or rental contact cannot be reached directly, the staff member will leave a message and a callback number will be included.
  • Our staff will email the program lead or rental contact notifying them of the cancellation.
  • If no one has contacted you via phone or e-mail regarding a weather-related cancellation, assume the program is on as scheduled and be prepared to enjoy the weather. For more information on how to come dressed for the weather, read this helpful guide!
  • Refunds and Rescheduling: A full refund or the opportunity to reschedule will be offered if LSNC cancels a program due to inclement weather. LSNC’s Office Manager will contact the program leader or rental contact to refund or reschedule the booking on the first business day following the original scheduled date. LSNC cannot guarantee availability for rescheduled programs.
