Nehemiah Blazek

Nehemiah Blazek was born in Portage, Michigan, and spent his early years reading, climbing trees, and generally enjoying the diverse and amazing outdoor experiences that Michigan has to offer. His summers were often spent on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky, overturning rocks to find lizards and skinks. After high school he attended Kalamazoo College for a time before moving to Ann Arbor. He joins the Leslie Science and Nature Center after five years of work at various outdoor-gear retailers. His experiences with small, local gear shops helped him explore and discover new passions for the natural world. He is now pursuing a degree in Education and is ecstatic about having a job where he can be outside all day.
